First time changing fuel filter; what do I need to know?

I have a Yanmar 2010 3JH5CE (it's a 3JH5E with a sail drive):

https://www.yanmar.com/media/global/...JHM-M00201.pdf

I'm on page 38 of the above manual. I see what I have to do, but I've never done it before.

I'm doing it on Sunday since it'll be nice out and I can finally go to the boat.

Is it similar to oil filter change?

I've done my oil and oil filter change many times. I've done my SD (sail drive) oil change many times. But I've never done fuel filter change. It's about time. I have the filter bought but just wondering what do I have to do before and after the change.

Most important: bleed fuel before? bleed air after? This is where I am lost.

I just don't want to change the filter and then go and start my engine and it won't start... the marina service is closed due to the virus.

Do I need a 2nd person to help out? If so, my SO will be with me to lend a hand.

Thank you guys! Stay healthy and safe, my friends. And fair winds to all that can go out!!

This is easier than changing the oil, but you must have patience and many rags to avoid making a mess.
You did not mention the engine, I have a Westerbeke and I don't have to bleed, the fuel pump does it for me.
Sometimes the filter casing is hard to remove, so go easy and be patient no to break anything... I asusme you have one that you need to unscreww a cap and then pull down on the body, so easy does it.
Piece of cake, see Sam doing it for the first time... good luck.

Edit: you did mention the engine... so the link will help you.
