Gas and diesel are two different cats. Gas vapors explode quite readily with the correct oxygen/gas mixture whereas diesel is much less likely to explode. If you are switching fuels then you may need all new
fuel lines and
bilge blowers. Believe me, you do not want to have a gas leak into the
bilge of your
boat. I have seen what happens when the bilge blower was not used after refueling at the
fuel dock. It was not pretty. It is worth spending the
money to have a knowledgeable consultant check out your
installation.
If something says "diesel fuel only" do not use it for gasoline...
