Engine coolant flow meter/ gauge?

Just wanted to know if anyone has used or know of a gauge to monitor the flow of sea water entering the cooling system?

Something like a remote temperature sensor connected to a gauge in the cockpit.
The idea is to tell if the sea water inlet becomes blocked or the impeller is defective before the engine overheats.

Thanks for any info!

Re: Engine coolant flow meter/ gauge?

There are several options. You can monitor either flow or temperature. Plenty of sites for either, just google them.

I use a flow sensor made by Aqualarm. Doesn't tell you flow per se, but sounds an alarm if the flow is below the (adjustable) low limit.
