Diesel mechanics near Port Canaveral?

We just got towed 23 miles to Port Canaveral. We were becalmed on our way from St Augustine to Ft Pierce but found that the engine was not passing raw water and overheating occurring in a few minutes. Impeller and sea strainers were checked with both OK. I could continue diagnosing the problem now that we’re safe in a marina but I’d like to get a professional involved. Any recommendations?

Marine Pro of Central Florida has done good work for me, but it's been 10 years since I used them. They're in Cocoa, but will come to port Canaveral.

What brand of engine? If Yanmar, we had great experience with Premier Offshore: https://www.yanmar.com/us/dealerlocator/us/215234/

Based on your discription, impeller intact and strainer clear
I'd bet you picked up some junk blocking your intake before the strainer
most likley a plastic bag or party ballon
cheers
