Diesel Fuel Question (Cloudy)

I bought some diesel from a gas station yesterday in Roatan Honduras.
I filtered the fuel in my baja filter.. The fuel is a little cloudy. Other fuels I have bought in the Caribbean is clear or rose colored.. What does this mean when the fuel is cloudy? Thanks

It should settle out in a few days but then you should remove the water from your tank. Do you have a fuel polishing system? If not then you will want to get a tube down to the lowest part of the tank and pump out the water. If you don't keep your tanks clean and clear of water it will come back to haunt you later.

Some cruisers advise pouring some fuel into a glass jar to make sure the fuel is clean and clear before adding it to your tank.

When was the last time you cleaned your tank?

We should start a sticky list of all fuel suppliers who give you water in the diesel.

I'll start:

Suez Canal Yacht Club - Water in fuel - Rip off price - Wants graft - Lied about quantity -

Water in fuel wasn't enough to stop the engine but settled out to about 1 cup per 20 gal gerry.

Avoid.

Water in fuel

I bought it in a gas station in Roatan honduras
Baja filter plugs up so I knew it had water. Put 5 gallons in tank. I already
had 40 gallons in my tank and I filter some of the water out so I think I am ok
Genset is running good.. No white smoke.. water is at the bottom of my tank if any got in..
