Re: Diesel-electric hybrid saildrive

I'd rather have 2 electric outboards that can be slid/rotated out of the water than the proprietary complexity of a diesel/electric that uses clutches/transmission/sail drive. If my brushless 2500 watt trolling motor can be deployed on a 5' x 1 3/8" fiberglass shaft then a 10-15k watt electric motor can do the same in a similar fashion.

Does this include the full compliment of batteries required or just the electric motor and accessories?

Just the hybrid diesel, clutch and controller. Batteries, charger and accessories are all on top of this.
