Cooling Water Discharge

I have a 15 hp Yamaha Enduro, 1992. I’ve noticed the cooling water is discharged from a nipple into the bowl. I don’t have a manual for the motor but the boat.net catalog parts picture shows a hose connecting the the cooling water nipple. I can’t figure out if the hose should connect somewhere else on the motor. Or is used to discharge the water out of the bowl.

Any input would help. Also, any guidance on finding a manual for 1992 Enduro 15 hp.

Thanks.

Re: Cooling Water Discharge

That sounds like the "pisser," meant to show you that cooling water is circulating, while the majority of the water exits with the exhaust. I'm saying that without personal knowledge of that engine.
