Cold starting Yamaha 4 stroke

I have a 15 hp Yamaha 4 stroke outboard motor and it doesn’t have a choke for cold starting. Is there a technique to starting this motor other than just reving the hell out of it until it warms up. Once it is warm it idols no worries but you have to warm it up by reving for a while. I have a Yamaha 2.5 hp motor that has a choke on it which starts no worries Click image for larger version

My Yamaha single lever controls had a high idle lever for just this purpose. You had to return to normal idle to engage gear. Sounds like that's what you need.

Cold starting Yamaha 4 stroke

Need more info.
It may not have a choke, but may have an enriching circuit, which performs the same function but the circuit is easily clogged.
A choke is literally that, it chokes off the air allowing the engine to suck in more fuel.
Take the cover off and look to see if there are two butterfly valves, one in front of the carb is the choke, the one inside of the carb is the throttle, the throttle one will move with the throttle of course.

My old 1980’s Mariner two stroke, made by Yamaha had an enriching circuit and not a choke for instance, but it did have a knob to pull.
