I don't know your layout, and I could not find one on the web, so not sure if this helps...
On my
boat the engine is under the
cockpit, and at first glance it looks impossible to get out. The trick is to slide it forwards first into the main
cabin. Then you
lift it to the height of the
cockpit sole and put rails under it to slide it backwards into the cockpit before lifting it from there. There is a small
hatch cut in the top of the
deck house to allow the cable from the crane arm to be lowered to the engine.
The point is, maybe the path out of your
boat is a zig-zag like it is on mine? Can you see a way of going up in STAGES, sliding the engine backwards and forwards at each stage?
