Broke down and stranded

My new to me vw pathfinder had a fuel solenoid detonate. Fails closed I guess lol. Ggot lucky enough to get towed in within minutes. Now stranded on a dock with 100nm left to get home.

Can I pull the guts on the solenoid and run to the next port that has some marine services? Will killing the engine with fuel shut off damage anything?

Thanks!!

Re: Broke down and stranded

The fuel solenoid is a convenience. No issues at all to bypass it.
