Aquadrive

For around 10years now I have had the Aquadrive and am a very happy customer. I remember that after install I was amazed at the all round improve in NVH.
Fitting the Aquadrive is apparently not the full Monty, the soft engine mounts that are available for it render a further improvement.
Has anyone done this....is it worthwhile? I should be looking at new engine mounts soon and if replacing anyway maybe I should consider this?
Next one, much has been written on CF re engaging gear to stop the prop spinning, Yanmar says a no-no. Now with an Aquadrive fitted there is no thrust on the prop shaft forward of the Thrustbearing so my guess is it is safe to do so. Have I got this right or not?

Re: Aquadrive

The reason Yanmar says no to engaging reverse is because their Kanzaki cone drive transmissions can be impossible to shift out of gear if subjected to torque from a turning prop. So the answer is "it depends". If you have a folding/feathering prop it's ok. If you have a mechanical clutch transmission (e.g. ZF) it's usually ok. If you have cones or hydraulic tranny, it's not ok.
