Anyone know anything about Nissan LD20 marine engine

Looking to purchase a lovely cruiser, only issue is the engine. I’ve never heard of it. It’s a Nissan LD20 marine engine with 55hp. The engine has 3000 hours and is roughly 25 years old, will it last me 10 years, 5 years, break tomorrow? Thoughts please.

Well as a former mechanic, no-one can tell you how long that engine will last!!!
Like any engine, it all depends on how the engine was treated, even with the best maintenance a 25 year old engine is unpredictable. I not familiar with that particular engine but a good inspection with compression test may give you some clue. But it is just a guess at that age.
