Anti Syphon location on Volvo 2003T

Only available place to put anti syphon is right after water pump. I have to cut the pipe and infall it after the pump. There is no place I can do this after heat exchanger. Am I in right track? Would it work if it's after water pump instead of after heat exchanger?

The pipe between the sea water pump and the heat exchanger is where the anti-siphon valve was placed on the 2003T. If I recall correctly there was a rubber "U" section in this copper pipe that was meant to be removed so that the pipe wouldn't have to be cut.

Technically you could install the anti-siphon valve after the heat exchanger, but the piping arrangement didn't lend itself to that.
