Air leak in Fuel Line Universal M25 (Diesel)

My M25 started stalling yesterday. I thought it was the fuel or water, drained the separator, bled the line, and she started. Ran for 45 mins and stalled. So I bled her again, and she started and ran for 45 mins, etc. I saw small bubbles coming from base of Injector Assembly where it touches the block, so I'm thinking that might be it?

What to do? Any advice?

If it is the injector, can I just tighten it somehow, without removing it, replacing washer, etc?

If you're getting air in the fuel system it is before the injector pump, on the low pressure side. Leaks on the high pressure side leak fuel out, not air in.

Start at the tank and check every fitting up to the injector pump.

Clogged fuel tank vent? It's fairly common. Often bugs make a nest in the outlet fitting on the hull.
Next time the engine stops open the fill fitting... is there a rush of air when you unscrew it?

Hi
and check the flared connecting fitting at the tank (if you have one I mentioned that before) by trying to turn the fuel line not the nut

Re: Air leak in Fuel Line Universal M25 (Diesel)

I'd bet on a clogged tank vent. 45 mins seems about the right amount of time for a vacuum to form in the tank. That in itself could stop the engine, but vacuum in the system could suck air into a connection that otherwise wouldn't leak. The bubbles under the injector have nothing to do with it, that's cylinder compression escaping through a bad seal. That won't cause your stalling problem but will reduce your horsepower, and it may get worse. I'd first try tightening the injector, if that doesn't stop it then replace the copper washer that's underneath. I'd probably do all three injectors while I was at it, they all have the same wear on them. Just remove the feed and return lines then unscrew it like a spark plug. The washer is down in the hole below the injector.
