Nothing to be sorry about , i feel it is great to move barriers and get better, lighter, and faster. The Hydroptere is a prime example of innovating yachting/sailing and some of the innovative ideas for sure will be used in the future for "normal" sailing yachts.
A few of the lightweight ideas as used in the Hydroptere we are using in the GreenCats like honeycomb Nomex , carbon fibre ,
epoxy resin infusion and using spray
paint instead of Gellcoat since we started building 10 years ago, all to save on weight. Thanks for the comparison between a Merc SLC and a Mercedes McLaren that is a compliment.
