Nothing ... as long as it is Hechthout from Bruynzeel, 100% Okoume. That one has a color that I really like.

Re: Your opinions on this Tri.
By the way, I'd be pretty disappointed in only 200 mile days in that boat.

I like the interior, nice amount of bright work, light and bright.
Way more liveable than some American gothic teak fit out.

Re: Your opinions on this Tri.
Juniper II (the design) is a pretty well understood hull with an excellent pedigree. They really are one of the designs everyone looks for assuming this is the type of boat you want.
As for this specific one... if she isn't in rough shape I would hire an inspector who really understands wood boats, and multihulls and see what they think of it. Richard Woods spends a lot of time in that area now that he is semi-retired, finding out if he is available for a look would be high on my list of things to do.

Thanks Greg, good of you to sound in.
Skip Joest, "Yost" in the small town of Welaka, Florida, on the St. Johns River has recently completed construction on a Chris White design, same construction as the Tri I'm looking at. CW recommended him to me when I was considering a new build and I am quite impressed with Yost.
Once I have sailed the boat and have an accepted offer Yost will check it out for me. Slight problem, the nearest yard capable of hauling this much beam is CatamaranBoatYard, way South in Marathon Key, a nice 400nm run.

The Catamaran Boatyard is in Key Largo and should only be about a 70 mile run if the CW tri is still in Ft Lauderdale.

95, not 70 but right you are anyway. I was referring to the 400 m run Yost has to make from Welaka and I wasn't clear about it.
Have you ever been at that yard?

We must have disagreeing gps's as mine has slightly under 70 from Lauderdale to Catamaran Boatyard, either way a day sail for that boat. Yes, we stopped by the yard a couple of months ago to visit a friend.

No, they don't disagree, the Broker will have moved her to Lauderdale by the Sea by the time I go visit.

Re: Your opinions on this Tri.
We saw her anchored in Lake Sylvia about 3 years ago and was a very impressive boat. Huge!

Re: Your opinions on this Tri.
after you've sailed the boat, PM me and I'll give you the phone number of the couple that built this boat. You may have already spoken to them, if not, they maybe a good resource for you. I really don't want them hounded unless you're 100% serious.

Thank you Mat, much appreciated.
I just found out that the St.Augustine Marine Center can haul out up to 35ft. Much closer to me and much better rates than Key Largo.

Would be interesting to see if the seller and broker are willing to deliver that far for a survey. What's the beam?

Re: Your opinions on this Tri.
Just found the beam. Catamaran Boatyard would have used a crane to haul her. Have you contacted Just Catamarans? They're located in Lauderdale and may be able to haul with a crane as well, though I'm pretty sure that would be more expensive than a travel lift.
