Woods Flica Engines

I was considering changing my engines from inboard diesels to either a single or twin outboard setup.this would be to reduce weight and drag while sailing.I wonder if anyone else has converted and what problems the came across.thanks in advance

A post a year will surely keep you out of trouble. How about contacting the builder for his suggestions?......i2f

How much drag do you imagine two saildrives with folding props make? not enough to go to the extreme of removing them

Re: Woods Flica Engines

Outboards have their advantages for sure - less weight, less drag, less draught, less cost..... but diesels have advantages too. Unless the diesels are completely shot and HAVE to be replaced I wouldn't be swapping them out.
