For me all the Wharrams remind me of a VW Campervan - split screen .

Both might be on the basic side - but seem a lot of fun, both boats / vans and owners.

Re: Who is Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes, Ferrari equivalents?

I had to Google a Lada. They don't make it all the way to the states. But we used to have Yugos. Does that count? Hmmm what monohull would be equal to a Yugo? Oh crap Here we go again.
But seriously folks we forgot the Atlantic lineup. They are semi custom so I vote that they are comparable to a Saleen Mustang.

My suggestion is you forget the brand name and consider what you want a boat for. You will be far better served once you determine your needs rather than try to come up with a list based solely on price, metaphor to cars, etc.

You don't want an AC Cobra to do trips to the grocery store or transit Alaska.
+10

Just a more creative way to start a fight...

Although it is hard to argue that the Lagoon is not the Lagoon of multihulls...

I'm with Ex-Calif and S/V Illusion... what you intend to use it for dictates what you should buy. Although I would like to try the Alaska Highway in a Shelby Cobra figuring it would be a oneway trip! Capt Phil

Re: Who is Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes, Ferrari equivalents?

Would it not be truer to compare them to RVs? With the exception of the last two in the list anyway...

Lagoon: Alpenlite

Outremer: Airstream

FP: Featherlite Coaches

Gunboat: Gulf Stream

Sunreef: Holiday Rambler

Privilege: Pacific Coachworks

Yapluka: Winnebago

Prout: United Recreational

AC45: Ferrari

AC72: Bugatti
