I built a 23' Hinemoa in the 70s. Used WEST and dynel cloth which was hard to
work with. Sailed her from Galveston to
Miami. No dink. Put her on the beach to run ashore tide willing, or anchored in inches when need be. Only complaint was wished I'd built a bigger one for the room, and it was not easy to tack; many times I jibed her around. And here, I must admit, I built the
boat 6" wider than plans. May have made all the difference.
Since then, have dreamed of the 31' I think it is, but I'm too old to start a
project like that. My mate at the time was young and buxom and generally topfree, much to the delight of many a fellow cruiser.
I think if a cruising gal has world class hooters, it is incumbent on her to share the wealth a little, if you get my drift.
