Likewise I too pondered how to unfoul an anchor on a
Leopard. The Leopardian rep and I worked out that the anchor once aweigh and a the problem identified (as in snagged crab pot, etc.) could be attached to a spare line via a
boat hook and raised up to the spare roller fairway on the forebeam using a
halyard winch on the base of the
mast. Possible, we thought, but not ideal. Perhaps some experienced
Leopard skippers can enlighten us with a far more practical solution?
Whilst my wife was sizing up the L39 for
interior space and liveability, I was doing the same out in the
cockpit. There was not even enough spare stowage for even a bucket, let alone the large volume of essential stuff. There are lockers alright, but the aft one was full with a life raft, the one next to the
helm full with gas bottles and the locker against the rear bulkhead chockers with house
batteries. L39 got the thumbs down as a
live aboard cruiser,
blue water or not.
With regards to size exaggeration, it's a bloke thing! If
women were naming boats it would be the other way around, "I'm only a size 12." "Sure, honey"
