Hinckley's (Next to New England Boat Works) can also haul my boat but they won't put Cats on the hard for the winter because they take up too much room. I think American Shipyard can also do so but that's where the fishing boats go, and if you know how bad they smell in the water, well it's even worse when they're on land!

I had my cat hauled at Channel Islands Boatyard - Channel Islands Harbor they currently have a rail but plan to add a large multi capable travel lift this year to replace their rail and supplement their smaller travel lift. Ventura Harbor about 12 klicks north can handle large cats as well.
Catana
length - 40'
beam - 20'

Results of Survey
I tabulated all the information posted in this thread in an Excel spreadsheet with a different tab for each major
geographic area. Locations are sorted north to south in each region. That file is posted on my web site at:
http://webpages.charter.net/catcruis...0Locations.htm.
If you find any errors in transcription or interpretation, please let me know by PM or regular e-mail.
Zipped up Google Earth Place (*.kmz) files for each geographic region are also indexed at:
Google Earth Overlays of Multi-hull Capable Boat Yards.
YOU MUST HAVE GOOGLE EARTH ( Google Earth) INSTALLED TO USE THESE. They work best if you download the files to
your computer and unzip them before trying to open them.
Thanks again for contributing to this project. I'll update the spreadsheet as information on more places to haul out is
posted. (Hopefully there will be more.)

John,
Nice work. I will try to get the coordinates for Pleasure Cove for you, but thet are on the Bodkin River, Western Shore, Chesapeake Bay. Also, my caveat for anyone going there is the marina is more of a power boat marina so they don't always know what they are doing on a cruising cat.

Updated Locations
I have added a few more locations to the spreadsheet at:
http://webpages.charter.net/catcruis...0Locations.htm based on fellow forum member feedback. I also updated the Google Earth overlays showing these locations accordingly. They can be found at:
Google Earth Overlays of Multi-hull Capable Boat Yards
Thanks to everyone who submitted information for this project.
The standard caveat applies to all information in these files: It is for your information only and is NOT to be used for navigation. If you find any errors, please let me know so I can correct them in the next update, whenever that happens.

Virgins and St. Martin cat haul out.
In the Virgins the only place is Nanny Cay, Tortola. In St. Martin only the 3 boat yards on the french side can do, Polypat, Time Out and i forget the other, but they are all together.

catamaran haulout
BC multihull soiciety used to have airbags that you put a multihull on and inflated, then rolled the works up the beach. Sounds cheap and compact enough to carry on board, a portable haulout.
