Where are those extra 2 feet Gemini 3000 vs 3200?

So specifically speaking about the change in 1989 to 1990.

I've read a few things but none of them seemed to make sense for the early 3200's.

I've even put the two layouts on top of each other in photoshop and they line up perfectly so the layouts are coming from the same source and I don't trust them to be "different" models.

Anyone with the proper knowledge can shed some light on this?

Marketing. Very common in the boating world.

I think they changed with the M Model, 105M and 105MC,
I believe the transom is different, My 105MC has steps down the back,

The difference is really only about 18”, the 3000 was about 30’6”, the 3200 is 31’ 11+”.

Both boats are ~27’6” LWL, the difference is in the overhangs. Mostly at the bow, IIRC. The 3000 has a moderate bow overhang, the 3200 much more, and then the 105 goes back near plumb.

So that's not any usable space right?

Been a long time since I’ve actually been aboard either, but I don’t thinks so, or if so not enough to talk about. The 31, 3000, and 3200 all share pretty much the same interior layout. The 3200 moved the mast a bit for better support and reportedly used vinylester in the exterior sections of the layup.

3000 has a post thru the dinette supporting the mast.
3200 I believe is the same length but restructured with the bulkhead ahead of the dinette supporting the mast.
3400 is basically the 3200 with rear steps and underhung rudders. This is actually a couple feet longer. It's a mix of outboard and diesel/IO drive leg.
105 is a completely new hull design same length as the 3400 and similar layout but with plumb bows. Early ones were a mix of outboard and diesel/IO driveleg...then after a couple years it was all diesel/IO driveleg but many have been modified to go back to outboard. There are several sub-variations of the 105 that are mostly interior modifications.

One thing about Gemini's is they truly "evolved" over time so even the same model may have some changes from a sister ship.
