Looking at this

1994 Wauquiez Kronos 45 Boat For Sale

Any comment?

Good boat, price, preformance?

Drawbacks and so on?

Hello up north,

I'm a fellow Norwegian that now sail a Fountaine Pajot Belize 43. I also had an Athena 38 from the same builder prior to the Belize. I'm located in Østfold.

I was interested in the Kronos 45 before I bought the Belize and I was in contact with the Hackings as referred to by others. What they don't now about this yacht is probably not worth knowing!

What i found during my investigations was that in my view the bridgedeck clearance is too low and the weight too high. She is very well built and is a reasonably good sailing boat. I like much of the layout and also lots of teak details on deck and cockpit, which sadly adds a lot of the excess weight. I belive only 13 boats was built and was only the only multi built by the yard.

I have owned hull number 10 since 2008 Bought her out of charter company and had her totally rebuilt from the hull up She is currently for sale Can find listing on line She is up to date in all regards Can't say enough nice things about her Have lived aboard and cruised extensively Solid performer and very comfortable at anchor
