Want to see a Jaguar 36 in real life

Is there anyone on the west coast of the US that has a Jaguar 36. I want to see one in real life.

Re: Want to see a Jaguar 36 in real life

There is a little used ~36' cat moored on NE Lake Washington in Seattle. I think it is a Jaguar but am not sure, there is no brand visible on it. I've day sailed by it many times over the last ~10 years and have never seen it move and have only seen persons moving around the house once or twice. I'd guess they're and older couple where its more hassle to get rid of it than just keep it, in case "one of the kids want it". I always thought if I ever saw someone on the dock I'd heave to and ask about it, maybe make a sweet deal but its not the type of cat that is highest on my list. It would just be neighborly chat to satisfy my curiosity. I am travelling so not within internet range much but pm me if you want more info.

I found it easily with google maps toggled to the satellite view. Maybe you or someone here can id it as a Jaguar. Search this address: 16011 Inglewood Rd NE. Kenmore, WA 98028. Kind of feels snoopy doing this but its all public domain and I'm just trying to be helpful. Might even be a favor to the owner if its been just too much effort to put it on the market. It will need some serious outside cleaning at the least

I can't get close enough on google earth to tell if it's a Jaguar. It certainly is a catamaran, I wonder if they want to sell it?? Can't hurt to send them a letter....

thanks!

I chartered one many years ago in the Caribbean. Horrible boat IMO. Not one good quality to it and again, IMO, so poorly constructed that it's border line dangerous off shore.

Wow, that's the worst report that I've heard of them so far. Thank you for that. I was smitten with the galley up design but I've decided against one for other reasons.

thanks!

If your looking for a budget cat, look at the old Lavezzi cats by Fountain Pajot. I also chartered one of them and it was really nice and sailed quite fast.

I concur with Palarran. In addition to the (in)famous Bumfuzzle story on a Wildcat (the 35 foot version of the Jaguar), there was one in the Seattle Windworks fleet for a year. A total POS boat. For a much better, less expensive cat, in addition to the FP Lavezzi, look for one of the TPI Lagoons, PDQ 36, and there are a number of others.

Re: Want to see a Jaguar 36 in real life

Thank you guys for weighing in on the Jaguar. I have an accepted offer for a PDQ so the Jaguar is a bygone thought. I liked the galley up on the Jaguar, but then I remembered, I don't cook. So why do I care where the galley is??? All I need is somewhere to keep the beer cold and some way to reheat the food in and I'm good!

Well for heavens sake when the deal closes tell us all about your find. I imagine it wasn't found in AK. Where will you be sailing it. Also congratulations!

I will let you guys in on it when the deal closes. I intend to sail in Mexico, with 4 feet of snow on the ground in Alaska, I'm dreaming fondly of Mexico!!
