Re: Trimaran in Storm

You're right, my brother and I have no experience, it seemed like the perfect storm
Thanks for comment.

Re: Trimaran in Storm

Perception is everything! And perceptions change with experience.

The F'boats are incredible machines, but they can be a handful when the weather picks up.

Re: Trimaran in Storm

I know the camera tends to understate weather conditions but force 10? Really?.....

Someone has put a lot of wood paneling or wood veneer in that boat. The F-27's are usually either gelcoat or the mouse-fur carpet ceiling surfaces.

Re: Trimaran in Storm

Have I ever mentioned that it was F-10?
It was F-6
I'm going to stop answering because I see that you are questioning me.
I have all the filming sailing in all directions at the end of the video I show the meteorological part.
Anyway I stop participating in this forum, with that I say it all ..
Greetings and goodbye, sailors

Re: Trimaran in Storm

Kayakderemar your title includes the word storm which is considered a Force 10 to most sailors. That is what I was expecting to see when I clicked on your thread. Instead it's just an average day sailing on Wellington harbour.
If you click on the link below that was what I was expecting, if you do go out in a Force 10 I would love to see the footage.
You need to develop a thicker skin and correctly title your next thread.
Cheers
Drew

Re: Trimaran in Storm

Take away the dramatic music, and it looks like a windy day off the coast. Having owned an Condor 40, F31 and an F36, they all behave differently than cats and monos, can certainly handle the conditions in the video, need reefing and still do well, but will all get spray and move around.

Used as they were designed for, they're great boats.

Re: Trimaran in Storm

That would be a shame if you left over a disagreement about what constitutes a storm.
We'd miss you. I don't know where else you could go.
How about sailing anarchy!
