The answer is simple.. the amazing Schionning design has stood the test of time.. even against the best production cats of today.

Just up your service level and pricing...much more pleasant to run charters with fewer guests than trying to make it up on volume...unless you can go really big.

Beautiful boat! We briefly met the previous owners in Sydney. Congrats again.

Looks like the boat is up for sale again. This time in Fiji. She’s been renamed to Malolo. Asking price is $300k USD.

Does anyone know if the user Barrokan is still active somewhere? The newest ad says the boat is Red Cedar construction, but in this forum Barrokan says balsa. I’m interested in the boat, but wanted to get some more info before I jumped too far into the rabbit hole.

If you get in touch with Craig Schionning from spirited designs. He built it.

Not my cup of tea, but it does look stunning.

I get the advantages of outboards, but like a lot of these discussions, people forget to invert and think about the drawbacks, the day you need to motor for 8 hours into a short trade wind chop in 15k plus you will wish you hadn't chosen outboards!

EDIT - just realised this is an old thread, resurrected.

It might surprise you to know, but some people actually sail into 15 knots of trade wind chop.

Of course you need a boat capable of doing it and probably some skills as well.
