Re: Telstar 28 owners

Hi, glad to hear from a fellow Telstar 28 owner.
We are south of you, along the Mississippi.
65 miles south of La Crosse WI
So far I have been able to do anything with my boat, been too cold.
I have to rebuild the floor of the anchor locker and a good cleanup.
Not a lot of 28's around and the few I looked at were pretty pricey yet.
The one I found, the buyer wanted $65k, but finally came down considerably.
The anchor well is about the only problem I have found.
Keep in touch, maybe we'll cross paths along the way.
We plan a couple trips to Lake Pepin.

Re: Telstar 28 owners

Hey:

Not an owner, but before buying my corsair (now sold - ) I researched that boat a ton. Look up dan kim's blog on the telstar. He has a huge amount of info, tips, etc. Really knowledgeable guy. I think he may have lost his to a fire, but last I looked the info was still out there. Google searches should get you there.

Kim Dan did lose his to a fire (on shore) but did respond to us when we started looking at Telstars last month. If interested private Email me here and I will pass along contact info. To start, go to Sailnet and look for postings by sailingdog.
