The only qualification YW asks for is a bank account so they get their monthly payments.

Storm damaged Bahamas Leopards – Warning

I’m fine with YW just putting up listings. It really is up to buyer to do due diligence right? Are there really high quality cheap cats out there with no hidden flaws? That’s the mythical unicorn folks keep looking for and if one actually gets put up on YW it will sell in a day. So, I don’t need YW to tell me these are significantly damaged cats with extent of damage underrepresented in listing. Common sense would tell me that- so any buyer who pulls the trigger on one of these without an inspection and careful and thorough planning and budgeting is destined for a broken dream....

After all, would you really trust the seller to tell you what the repairs will cost or would you do that yourself as a buyer? If a new mast installed really is 25K that’s great but I will make some calls to determine that and spec it out. Likely that’s just the spar assuming using original standing rigging.

It's the law in Florida but it's not required if he owns the boats.

Absolutely would have been less, but the detail and finishing from South Africa is considered superior, in the trade, here. Don't worry, I spent lots of time talking to both, directly, and Carolina could give me neither a coherent price nor delivery date. The price included new standing rigging, by the way. The L 48 rig would not have been more, I don't think. I don't think the mast is any longer, and its only a single spreader rig.

Intel does not have a business license in Broward County that I could find.

Re: Storm damaged Bahamas Leopards – Warning

I have had my YW filters set for boats just listed in the last 3 days. It is interesting that Intel always seems to have several newly listed boats but every single one of them does not show one pic of the actual boat in the current condition. They are all just stock photos probably from the Leopard brochure.

There is also a storm damaged Helia by a different outfit that shows the actual boat including older pics when repairs were being done.

This is the way to do things right because full disclosure on these is a must.
Thumbs up to BVI Yacht Sales

Intel knows this and that's why it's reposting every day discounts and new inventory.

This ties in nicely with the other thread that talks about catamaransite.com accepting non-Owner's postings on their FSBO site. The degrading effect careless dealers impose on hard working ones and on any venue they invade.

Yachtworld has been on a buying spree not caring about the little things that matter. This scammer (YES YOU INTEL- I know you're reading this thread!) will or has already scammed an innocent buyer and I would sure hope they sue YW.

My hope is that a potential buyer will at least do a internet search on "Intel Marine" and find this thread. I just did the same and unfortunately this thread was not easy to find.
The Bahamas are closed to travel until the end of June. So perspective buyers have a lot of time to do their due diligence.

Re: Storm damaged Bahamas Leopards – Warning

Unlike the original mast, isn't a replacement from US spars in two pieces that must be bolted together? If I recall, they do this as it would be too large to ship

Did anyone find any info on this guy? I've never seen a broker so hidden that you can't even find his name. All the brokers I know are plastering their name everywhere.

Makes me wonder what a sales contract from them looks like.

It's difficult to find a business that doesn't exist . . . . except in the "owners" mind, in the dark of the night, in a narrow alley, where you are only allowed to enter if you have a wheelbarrow of money, and absolutely NO common sense . . . .

The business "owners" damage control by signing up on the forum and attempting to spread oil on the waters failed miserably. As shown by the fact that he hasn't been seen again . . . . here . . . . or on google, bing . . . . etc . . .
