Sailing in Turkey....any suggestions/comments

Heading to Turkey, sailing off Fethiye for a week....with two other couples.
Does anyone have any experience in the area?
Would it be better to head East, or West?

To the west, for better winds, less humidity and heat. however, from Fethiye to Yesilova bay it's quite a bit sailing for a week.

Otherwise, Göçek bays and Kalkan, Kaş , Kekova to the east are splendid.

I forgot to mention we are actually renting a Powerboat Cat....not sure that would make a difference as to where we should go.
I could not find Yesilova Bay...is that heading west from Fethiye?
Would you rather head that way versus going south and east to Kalkan, kas and Kekova?
