Sail performance of 90's FP, Lagoon cats

Am curious what the sail performance of say a Marquises vs an Eluthera or newer lagoon 500 would be vs its older siblings.

Have read good things about the construction of the FP Marquisis but have not heard much about how it sails in light conditions. Is it a pig, are they all pigs?

You can get allot of bang for your buck with an older cat if its been well taken care of. However, if it is heavy and substantially slower it negates the price benefit.

How did the manufacturing change between then and now?
