I have 2008
leopard 40. I get
rudder slap ( annoying clunking noises ) noticed mainly when trying to sleep on quiet nights with a small to moderate sideways swell. Problem is getting better but still there. First tried tightening the
steering cable. Then was told, just to replace the bottom
rudder bearings and did so , I have now just replaced the top rudder bearings also, the
noise is better but still there.
My next step is to replace the rudder clevice attachments as there is some play in them.
Has anyone
solved this problem before?
