Renting a Boat in Nassau

Hello all,

My wife and I are looking to fly into Nassau and then rent a boat and sail the Exuma chain of islands in December. I have been looking at boat rentals through charter companies, and then also websites like Nautal, zizoo, Etc. We are looking for a nice boat, but it doesn't need to be top of the line. What is the best way to go about renting, and whats a typical price to pay for a week.

Prices depend on type of charter, Bareboat or Skippered / crewed and on type and size of vessel.

We are looking to bareboat for sure. I appreciate the help! Is there anything to keep in mind while renting in the Bahamas? This would be the first time we would be renting a catamaran out of the states.

I'm renting an Astrea 42 from Dream Yacht Charter out of Nassau in a couple of weeks. I'll come back and post my two cents after I get back at the end of the month. It's our first bareboat charter. So far the experience has been great getting signed up, they seem like a helpful bunch. Not cheap though.

Don't rent from Zizoo.com. They are a scam.

They took our chartering fee and never paid that chartering company. And they don't pay us back the missing chartering fee.
