Raising Gooseneck/boom on Lagoon 380/410

Hi all just a quick question, how hard would it be to raise the goose neck about 12 inches or so to facilitate a permanent cover for the helm seat.

Also anyone out there retrofit a pre 2006 model with the big stateroom windows. Would love to get a 2006 or newer boat but there are some really nice ones out there that are early 2000's that do not have them, just curious.

Thanks in advance

Will

Hello
I know of a number of Fountaine Pajot Owners who have raised their goose neck fitting / boom in order to have a custom hard tops made - same efforts would go into your Lagoon - you will lose some sail area unless you have your main sail head turned into a square Topsail - You should consult with your local rigging company and sail loft.
