Power Trimaran

I have been a multi-hull guy for over 40 years, Hobie Cats, Two Searunner Trimarans etc. I'm searching for a Power Trimaran. Plans, built, whatever. So far only Kurt Hughes has a few. Are there any others out there? Beside the mega yachts? I have not been able to track flown any of these (except Kurts) Thanks for any info ahead of time.

Re: Power Trimaran

Are you just interested or looking to tri one for yourself?

Neel have a power version of their sailing tri.

Itry - Australia

The couple that wrote one of the PNG cruising guides (the name evades me Sunsets and Islands???) also had a powertri.

As you say quite a few bigger ones, Adastra - JS and there is a Polish yard building very large ones designer??

I think this is a future direction for powerboats.

Re: Power Trimaran

Safehavenmarine in Ireland is building these "things", I don’t know if they enter in the category trimaran.

Re: Power Trimaran

Dick Newick designed at least one.

I met the owner of a working example of one of Dick Newick's power trimarans in the seacoast of New Hampshire. The guy was using it to commute to work (a great excuse to get out on the water) and it saved him lots of time.

He had it docked right at his house.
