Phoenix P5000 South African Built
Ran across a 18000 KG (39,683 Lb) cat on the web and was wondering are they still producing these catamarans?

The Phoenix catamaran website appears to be current. Have you tried going to the "Contact Us" section on this site to send them an email?

Re: Phoenix P5000 South African Built
No worries, but your initial post just asked if these cats were still in production hence my reply.

Ah yes, not the fastest 50 footer but very luxurious custom fitouts. Nice ride.

I've seen one and had to avert my eyes for fear of turning to stone.

I'm not sure why there are negative comments.. the posts are very short and don't really explain themselves.
This is also promoted or sold as an Xquisite X5 Sail which won the strictly sail show's Best Multihull over 30ft
Features - Xquisite Yachts
I personally quite like some of the design features but looking at the technical details vs opulence would question the displacement figures given.
