Seawind Just Launched their latest open style resort for day charters but would also make for a fun weekend getaway boat.

Yep, looks good for that purpose. With slightly extended sugar scoops and a lower first step, it would make a great dive platform.

Actually, not all that cool - with a group of drunken partygoers on board you will have problems seeing from the helm. The helm should be up front. Also, the dude starboard fwd needs a portable ladder to access the hardtop - not the best way to do it.

Re: Perfect Cat for the Tropics

Are the charter companies still going to try to sell those into the private use market afterwards? I have trouble seeing any CFers jumping at those, unless the price is right

I think you maybe slightly confused, these boats are not for the bareboat charter fleets but targeted at businesses that do day cruises. However they have a very basic fitout and come in very light compared to an 1160, so should be a fun boat for weekend sailing if not in business day charter.

Ya gotta wonder why they put a sailing rig on it when your struggling to see it.

Sadly not much thought went into aesthetics.

Looks like a great daycharter platform!

These boats will sail more miles in a year than 99% of cruisers do!

I like dayboats. They give you this long lost feeling of being in touch with nature.

You do not understand the marine business at all do you. What matters is how many paying passengers you can get in each survey class. The old Seawind 1000 Resort still sells within days of listing every time one comes up, cause it offers a low cost bums on seats solution. And where these things operate sun protection is a key part of the marketing solution for the operators.

But mate - logic is never going to cut it with you so I just wonder why I even bother to try and overcome your bigotry and hate. You simply don't know.

Ahhhh, you are correct. I registered just the charter, rather than the day boat charter! Makes much more sense for the intended purpose
