PDQ 36 LRC Backstay Chainplates?

Would anyone be willing to share their experiences with PDQ 36 LRC (twin diesel) backstay chainplates?
Those boats, while apparently solidly constructed, powered, etc, seem to go "down by the stern" and submerge the twin backstay chainplates in the water.
How have owners handled that situation? What is the inspection and maintenance schedule?
What countermeasures do you use for crevice / concealed corrosion on those chainplates?

Thank you in advance.
