Greetings Multihullers!

Our Northwest Multihull Association May 2 meeting in Seattle will be hands-on presentation on techniques and materials for fairing, priming and painting. It will be live on zoom also if you want to tune in. In an hour and a half, we aim to introduce you to fairing, priming and painting materials and techniques that have been employed in home workshops by three of our members. We focus on hand application techniques, assuming that spraying is best left to the professionals.

We will cover, in brief introductory terms, the following:

Fairing compounds.
Abrasives and dust control.
Mental health considerations and fairing.
Choice and use of primers and guide coats.
Finish paint choice and application.
Non-skid choice and application.
Alternatives for interior paint.

The meeting will be held at our usual meeting place, Puget Sound Yacht Club, at 2321 N. Northlake Way, in Seattle. The meeting begins with a potluck at 6:15 pm and the presentation will commence at 7:00 PM. The presentation will be streamed on Zoom, and the link is below.
