10k in the US for Bimini and dodger for a modern 38 ft boat (beam 12-13 ft) is not out of line. It always surprised me how much it cost. You think it's just a bit of Sunbrella but there's a lot more to it. We got a Sailrite sewing machine and did new glass and repairs ourselves but would never tackle the original set up.

If you are willing to pay a small premium purchase a "hardtop dodger". That will reduce the future dodger canvas/glass replacement cost by 25%. Plus, it can support a solar panel.
