Yeh i actually saw it when they released the video and posted in the neel 47 thread. Although they mainly talked about the sailing qualities and steered away from build quality.
Im looking forward to the 43 but it looks like it’s delayed? Was meant to be release this month.

Wouldn't they have a contract with the manufacturer that requires the manufacturer to deliver for commissioning a non-broken boat?

Re: Neel 43 thoughts?
where do you dock one of these things ???
seems like an outside dock is the only option ???...then it will stick out like a sore thumb inviting any passing boater to crash into it...???
I've sailed a variety of earlier plywood type tri's....Pivers, etc....but came away unimpressed by interior space, sailing attributes, especially in a big sea..but no denying that they have a lot of " walk around" space..

No different than a cat, in fact most modern cats this length exceed the beam of the Neel 43, some by up to a metre.

My old 34' tri had a 24' beam. I only ever side tied it. I had an incident with a 150' cruise ship running into me that was berthed a little further in. After that the marina would call me asking me to move to an end tie for that day. The ship did the Alaska thing and stayed up there all summer so I usually just had to move a few times a year.
Lots of multis are wide so you just have to deal with it.

Like a cat, bow or stern to into a 13-14m double mono berth between the fingers or 2 mooring lines or alongside at the T-End of the pontoon.

Re: Neel 43 thoughts?
The Neel 43 had sea trials this week so we can expect a more comprehensive and “real”view of it’s layout and its performance in the next few weeks, perhaps by Eric Bruneel himself.
What I find odd is the fact that it has only one head/shower on the main deck - could turn out quite embarrassing if you have guests
I also think that the old 45 looks better and has a better layout..

Might be me but from the layout I wasn’t able to see any cabinets / hanging lockers in the cabins just storage bags ..
I have the feeling that to optimize the layout on the Neel 43 a yacht interior designer should have been appointed

Re: Neel 43 thoughts?
Without cabinets there is nothing for ruby rose to complain about. I like the spartan philosophy. The white interior should go well with retrofitting ikea storage boxes and baskets. I kinda like that too.

Haha like the ruby rose comment ..agree 100%
For sure if the cabinet joints were not good enough the boat would sink on a ocean crossing

Re: Neel 43 thoughts?
Kind of distorts the light displacement values when the crew have to bring their own furniture.

Of course, with the boat only existing on paper, all he could offer was assurances that these issues would be remedied.
It’s almost time to sign a purchase agreement, and put some non-refundable cash down — something I’m reluctant to do before seeing the first hull splashed, or at least touring an up-and-running production facility, and speaking with the actual builders and managers.
I hope it works out, because it’s a fantastic design, and perfect for my needs — but I need more than a broker’s promises (which I believe are sincere) to counter the hard testimonials of N47 owners.

Did you pull the trigger on the 43?
