What's a racked mast?
In the 1st and 2nd reef the luff reef point is on the same spot, with or without the intermediate car. It's just much easier now to get the rope loop through the luff reefing eye as it's hold close to the mast by the car but tensioned down it's on the same spot. Only reef 3 that was in the wrong position anyhow was adjusted on the luff by sailmaker. On the leech the reefing points were already off before the mod, and the web straps with blocks for the reefing line needed to be replaced anyhow, so were place correctly be the sailmaker with low friction rings. I could actually lower the boom so the up angle is smaller then before. Due to FP sailplan from roof to mast reference point should be 50cm, before I was at 60cm and now at 48cm.
So no jamming, in reef 1 and 2 it fits actually better due to sailmaker then before the mod, only reef 3 needed a bigger adjustment on the leech.

A racked mast is one that is not vertical but angle slightly backward typically 80-85 degrees from the horizontal. This induces a small amount of lift a la windsurfers.
It looks like the mods were to correct for the reef points not being in the best place to start with in which case you will see an improvement. So many monohull sail makers get this wrong when making sails for multis.

It's the original sail from FP, surprised they don't fit from factory, 3rd was done by former owner which had no glue about sailing. Yes I see an improvement, first in reefing works easier now and close haul I get at least some sailshape now and around 5 degrees closer then before. The distance between the battons is just to big to control the luff without the intermediate cars.
Know a good sailmaker for multihull? wanna get new sails soon.

I'm curious about this because the Nautitech 40 uses the same process. I always assumed the yard was too small to accommodate a production line with 7m wide (full beam) molds, although on reflection this seems unlikely. A crack generally reappears at the stem after superficial repair. I am comforted by the reasonable assumption that the interior glass lay-up along the length of the bilge, after bringing the hulls together, must surely be as thick as the hull itself. Otherwise this system would just not be viable.

Venezia, Belize and Bahia are the last with this process. From Lavezzi on the hulls are one piece.
No it doesn't have to be as thick as the hulls itself.
On Bahia it's 3 layers inside and outside while on joint both hull parts are glued together. It's the surface area that creates the bond.

I have had two sets from Hyde based in Philippines, agents all over. Unfortunately, I believe the designer that designed the first set, second set used the same patterns, has now left but check them out. They listened and did what I asked not what "they do".
My new screecher is from Sanders Sails in UK, one of the few lofts that still make in house.
Worth contacting Dave Calvert to see if he is still making and Elvstrom in Holland.

I don't have any report about this problem on Venezia or Beliza.
I have bought a V42 (and I also had been looking for a Belize) for that reason.
The Venezia 42 in particular has been made structurally in a truly strong way (someone said too much - so haevy - way) and that's why the Venezia 42 is probably the heavier in the family of FP cats of that period (V42, B43 e B46).
