I'm sure the Titusville moorings would be fine in benign conditions. However, our pendant was visibly fatigued and we took a cursory look at the rest only to find the same.
Like I said, the fetch is so bad that some days we were there we couldn't board the
dinghy. The
wind just howls through there.
This
mooring field would benefit by a breakwater.
Also, there is no standard to the moorings used by those
marinas receiving state
mooring field entitlements, such as Titusville. As such, there is no common process or standard upon which they are being held.
I second sunset. They also have some fetch, although not as bad as Titusville, and they have much much much better facilities for your dollar. Titusville is basically your dad's
fishing shack calling itself a marina.
