I realize that performance and "charter cat" have diverged over the last decade or so, just curious if anyone has any recomendations for alternatives that might have a bit more sailing "fun".
Destination is back to the
Caribbean next spring.
I've bareboated many of the lagoons, FPs, etc in the 38-46' range over the last 15-20 years. Not sure if I should go for something perhaps a bit older but bigger to find some
power and speed or what. There is a crewed Atlantic 57 out there that is quite quick, but it's a bit pricey and only handles 6 (we have 6 adults and 2
kids.) Would prefer a
bareboat, but might consider a crewed version for the right
price. There are some big older Tris out there, but not sure what kind of performance they have.
Thanks for any ideas.
Mark
