Long Term Catamaran Lease

My wife and I have caught the sailing bug and are considering taking our kids on a 3-5 week trip from Florida to Bahamas in Summer of 2010. We've chartered several times and will have Bareboat charter certification by end of summer 2009. We're not ready to own a boat for ourselves yet, but are looking for a long-term rental of a 38'-48' catamaran. Any ideas who would give us a great deal with decent boats in the fleet?

That's the middle of hurricane season, June to November. I'd suggest someplace else or another time.

Cheers.

Send me a PM. We charter in the BVI, but may well be moving through the Bahamas that time, next year.

cheers,

Bahamas Charter

Check out Maine Cat - they have 30 and 41' cats for charter in Hopetown, Bahamas. Not exactly what you are looking for in terms of the length of the cruise, but they might make you a deal.

One other point besides the hurricane season is you might want to just fly to the Bahamas instead of having to make two crossings of the Gulf Stream. That way you can spend more time enjoying the trip and not worrying about crossing what can be a nasty piece of water.
