There is foam and there is foam. It is possible this is true that some manufacturers have used
cheap foams but that is certainly not true of the well recognised quality
boat building foams. That being said the incorrect fit of through
core fittings is more an issue of that rather than a core issue.
I am still yet to be informed of any Leopard's with balsa core issues although there are many who completely dismiss balsa because of its poor reputation in the States.
