Why is that? Please explain.

That video has hundreds of comments. Hundreds of experts, most have never set a foot on a cat but watched Parlay Revival. I would not give something about these comments but it's just an indicator how widely known this problem already is.
Seems this bulkhead issue is getting so widely known this _will_ affect resale value of all 450s. Since many prospective buyers can't see the difference between design and build issues it will also affect other Lagoons.

Pretty simple. Greatly increases speed of production inserting a one piece liner in a couple of hours rather than have carpenters and glass guys doing it piece by piece over a few weeks

It is obviously cheaper, but that is no reason to assume it will become the only method of construction.

The original statement was the EU rules, not Beneteau group policy, are the reason everything is glued in place. Seems like it would move all quality boat building outside of the EU if that is true.
But I do not doubt that Beneteau group accountants like glue and thin bulkheads.

just exactly what are quality boats and just who is still in business making them
Europe is by far the worlds biggest sailboat market. None in their right mind is going to build production boats outside the EU

Plenty of the world's best boats are made in Asia
Last I looked that's outside the EU

I may be wrong, but I think he's talking about resin infusion being required in Europe when he says "ended open mould". It keeps the workers away from the VOC by vacuuming resin into the dry fiberglass in an enclosed system. They never touch or are in contact with the resin in well set-up systems unlike hand lamination.

Ah -good to know. The implication being that those same restrictions would prevent tabbing, which... I do not know. So maybe the glue is beneteau group policy. Bulkhead thickness certainly has nothing to do with it.

Exactly and that will not happen. The interpretation of the rules makes no sense and I believe is wrong. There will always be some hand lamination work.
I note that Goboatingnow has not explained his seemingly erroneous statement.

Wonder if these "UK" (non eu) builders will be put out of business by eu rules?

We've heard a 450 owner comment about "creaking" being so bad they were ready to turn the boat around and sell it. This was on a passage from the East Coast of the US to the Caribbean. This is generally an upwind passage.

Re: Lagoon cats now on discount...
Here is a video on You Tube That a crewmember is recording the sounds below deck of the lagoon 50 cruising at 10kt And I wonder how long can a boat take this before it has major problems?
Listen to the bulkheads on this Lagoon Catamaran..
