Lagoon 450 Mast Earth

Hi all, wondering if anyone has successfully attached a grounding cable to their mast on a Lagoon 450 or similar model? Would like to know what route you took and what gauge cable you used. Also, any other lightning/static attenuation strategies that can be employed?
Thanks!

The Lagoon 450 has an earth wire attached to the starboard shrouds chain plate.

For meaningful information on protection re lightning, see www.marinelightning.com

The chainplate is not near the sea surface, so no help for lightning mitigation.

The OP wanted to know how the mast is earthed. It is earthed via the stays & chain plate to a green/yellow wire that goes to a bronze plate under the hull

Re: Lagoon 450 Mast Earth

The OP seemed to be asking the question relating to lightning protection, no?

Yes, I was asking how the mast was earthed. BC's info is spot on, thanks. Will also have a look at the link you posted BB.
