Lagoon 380: St Martin to Tortola

I am looking at the possibility of chartering a Lagoon 380 for a one-way charter from St Martin to Tortola, Nov 24-Dec 3. I made this trip last year in a Jenneau 36. It's about 85 miles IIRC, and we did an all-nighter, averaging about 5 knots, in 10-15 knots of following wind. It was a wonderful, magical trip.

My question is for those familiar with the Lagoon 380. Should I anticipate a much faster sail, assuming similar conditions? In other words, could I do it in a day?

You can do it in a day. Typically we start from Marigot or Simpson Bay an hour or two before first light and do it comfortably before dark. If you are going too slowly then stick a motor or two on.
