hey fellow multihullers. iam looking for a intercat 1500, but am having trouble finding one.
my biggest mistake was not
purchasing this
boat over spring!

it was listed for 44k on that site, but he had it listed for 35k on craigslist. i didnt have the funds at the time, but im sure the guy settled for 30-35k and it seemed the
boat was in good condition. so mad i didnt have the
money.
anyways, i took several years off after high
school and am moving back to
fort lauderdale,
florida for college soon. i really hate paying rent and getting nothing in return, so i figure i could get a sailboat and
live aboard, while going to
school for the next 3-4 years. would love to do some bahama trips when im off for summer and
winter vacation.
does anyone have experience with a intercat 1500? the thought of getting a cat under 50k would be so sweet.
i realize its not something i could cross the atlanic or pacific with, but my plans would be to maybe eventually island hop the
caribbean. im wondering what your thoughts are of a intercat making it to
panama from south
florida?
head from
key west, cross the
yucatan to
mexico, then hop the coasts of
mexico,
belize,
guatemala,
honduras,
nicaragua,
costa rica, then boom bocas del toro?
if school ended up not working out, then i need a backup plan, which would be coming back to bocas del toro. maybe be a surf,
fishing, and sailing bum for a few more years, while having a sailboat lol.
sorry for the rambling...my main objective is finding a
catamaran for under 50k. i always liked the intercat 1500. so if anyone has opinions or has owned one, then i would love to hear your responses. GRACIAS
