Hurricane Season on the Hard in the Southeast

I have taken my boat from the NE to FL each fall and back to the NE each late spring.

I don't want to do that this spring/summer, I want to leave it in FL. Or the Southeast.

My normal mooring cost is 2.5k for the summer season in NE. If I left the boat up there on the hard for the winter, it is another 2.5k.

When I looked about pulling my boat to store for the summer until the end of hurricane season, I am getting quotes in the FLL area of 8k!?

Can anyone recommend a place to leave my boat SC to FL for the summer/fall that isn't 8k? Don't mind moving the boat north a bit or to the Bahamas, just don't want to go all the way to NE and back. I can leave in the water if it meets insurance regs for hurricane season, or pull it, but has to be able to store a 21' beam.

Thanks for any help/advice.

St Augustine is usually missed by storms. I went through a complete year there and it wasn't too expensive. Try St Augustine Marine Center... https://mywindward.com/staugustine-marine/

A lot of folks just leave the boat in the water at Brunswick Landing Marina. Very protected and the insurance people like it. Dockage and dry storage cost is pretty much the same.
